We advised on the succession of Intralink to a team of directors and key employees.
PEM Corporate Finance advised on the management buy-out of Intralink by a team of directors and key employees led by CEO Greg Sutch.
Intralink is the leading provider of market access and business development services to companies targeting the East Asian markets of Japan, China, Taiwan and Korea. East Asia is a highly attractive region for doing business but given the language and cultural differences it can be a difficult environment for western companies. Intralink provide a unique “surrogacy” business model whereby its own team of East Asian based non-native bilingual employees act as local executives for its UK, European and US based clients.
East Asia, particularly China, has exciting potential for western businesses in the current market.
Finance was raised to enable founder James Lawson to sell his majority holding in the company to his management, with Greg Sutch and Alan Mockridge taking controlling shares and many other key fee earners becoming shareholders. Importantly James Lawson retains a minority holding in the company and will continue to be actively involved as Chairman.
