PEMCF advised Tony Savill on the sale of Molecular Dimensions to an American private-equity backed company.
The PEMCF team, led by Lake Falconer, prepared financial forecasts and a valuation of the parent company and subsidiary. The process moved onto the marketing phase, sharing a Information Memorandum with potential acquirers and negotiating a purchase price. We managed other aspects of the transaction such as due diligence, structuring, and correspondence with legal advisers. PEM’s business tax experts provided tax advice.
Founded in 1998, Molecular Dimensions is a manufacturer and distributor of high quality products used in structural biology research. Headquartered in Newmarket, Suffolk, the company has offices in the United States and distribution capacity in Asia.
The vendor wanted to retire and felt Molecular Dimensions would benefit from a larger owner who had the resources to take the business to the next level. We were very happy to secure an attractive purchase price from the American private equity firm, Stone Calibre.
100% disposal of the shares in Molecular Dimensions Ltd and its subsidiary Molecular Dimensions Inc.
