Majority sale of shares for Orbital Fabrications
PEM Corporate Finance were appointed by Orbital Fabrications to provide M&A advice on the sale of 80% of its shares.
We advised 42 Technology, a technology and product design consultancy, on the successful management buyout of the company.
Based in St Ives in Cambridgeshire, 42 Technology is a successful technology and product design consultancy. 42 Technology supports its clients at the early stages of defining the product and technology strategy through to the transfer of new products into manufacture or going live with a new manufacturing process.
The change of ownership occurred during a significant increase in annual sales, with a surge in new client wins particularly from Europe and North America. The consultancy also strengthened its in-house team in key areas such as wireless communications, product design and thermofluidics.
42 Technology’s executive directors and staff bought the bulk of the business from its previous owners, Howard Biddle and Dave Wilson, who retained a small shareholding and their non-executive roles. The company also implemented a scheme giving employees the opportunity to acquire its shares.
