Monkfield Nutrition has purchased the reptile and bird elements of the Arcadia Products Plc business known as ‘Arcadia Reptile’.
The acquisition adds a market leading brand to Monkfield Nutrition’s product offering and cements Monkfield Nutrition’s position as a one-stop-shop for reptile pet supplies. Royston-based Monkfield Nutrition Ltd has been a market leader in the breeding of reptiles and their food for over 25 years.
Monkfield Nutrition acquired the stock, fixed assets and staff of Arcadia’s reptile retail arm in addition to rights to the whole of the Arcadia pet product ranges. This included access to unique product designs, trademarks and access to multiple new offshore suppliers.
The other arm of Arcadia (which is not being sold) supplies aquatic products to the aquarium retail trade.
